Jake joined the Historic Riverboat Preservation Association back in 2010 as a caretaker. He attended Lewis & Clark Community College and then Bellevue University with a Bachelors degree in business administration. Starting from grade school, Jake has been interested in historical structures. When the Goldenrod came about he knew that it was something he had to save. From that time he has been the voice of the HRPA by creating public interest with the website, Facebook page and interviews for television, radio, and newspaper articles. He was then elected the Vice-President over the organization and made many accomplishments within the organization. Jake is the heart of the project and organized the preservation of the Goldenrod's interior along with many fundraisers and the final decommissioning ceremony.
